at me like I smile at you

insects chirping, leaves rustling in the wind

a motorboat.

Some bare, light spots

in a clear box of peanuts

still in their dark skin.

Smells when wet Haiku

Humid air after rain
I see my steps in wet grass
fat with luscious smells.

Thank you my love

Wake up, join us at the table

the scent of coffee and fresh bread with butter

past and future memories of family.

Living with Uncertainties

A rock finally falls

changing the way of the creek,

new pastures, deserts.

I see me in my son

Knowing, you must've felt the same

his every joy being mine.

Answer (not a haiku)

in this warm room

pictures die.

I just finished reading 'Bent Box' by Lee Maracle, and was impressed by some of her shorter poems, which even invited me to answer her. This is the answer to 'Untitled' of this book which uses the same words, but has the 'warm in front of 'pictures'.
