Humid air after rain
I see my steps in wet grass
fat with luscious smells.

Two Days of Rain in Texas

Pitter, patter, gurgle,

rising through thick, damp air

the smell of wet wood.

Thunderstorm

Feet in warm puddles

some last drops cooling my skin

a rainbow so high.

Texas Winter

Hard land, dusty crusts,
splashing, soaking rain leaves clouds
of brown scent sprouting.

Air heavy from rain
mushroom clouds grow as I watch
swallows dive around me.

biking through puddles at night
